For as long as I can remember I have loved reading. A solid book, written well, and crafted with love is an amazing journey.
I gave taught and been friends with many who do not read. It seems so disconnected from my own experience, I do have trouble conceiving of it.
As a teacher, I’ve always enjoyed sharing my love with students. Teaching The Phantom Tollbooth to my fifth graders with a wall size map to trace Milo’s journey, reading The Great Divorce and Catch22 with my advanced reading class, and enjoying Things Fall Apart with my eighth grade class. These are some of my favorite memories of teaching.
Take time to read each day. It is truly a joy.
Currently, I am enjoying immersing myself in Neal Stephenson’s Anatham.
