I had a conversation with a parent today who is upset about a particular incident/circumstance at the school. She’s a pretty ”normal” parent in that she’s involved, reasonable, and supportive.

What struck me most was - after I apologized - the effusive praise she gave to the school. She highlighted the events, the communication, the atmosphere, the Faith. All after being visibly frustrated even to the point of anger with a particular instance.

That is the type of community a Catholic school should be. When everything is good; to the point that a bad encounter serves to highlight the strengths elsewhere. We can always get better, but if we can recognize all the good even when angry, we are on the right path.
