Gathering together and extending an idea using agents:

Rather than use it for yourself - why not use this functionality for your school newsletter?
Imagine having an ongoing list of possible events for families in your school's area to link them to the community and including other possibilities such as service, academics, faith or fun?
Let's adjust Allison Serafin's prompt for this topic - assuming you send out a Monday email to your families :
On Sundays, every week, find and list events happening over the next 7 days in [your local communities]. Tailor the list to families with children ages 4-15, include ADA-friendly/senior-friendly options for parents, and provide event details (dates, times, locations, costs, registration). Present it all in a clear, easy-to-read list or table. Label each event with whether it is fun, academic, faith, or service-based. Lastly, include a hyperlink to event details and registration.
My results showed that the links weren't perfect and you definitely want to specify communities (I got all of Arkansas!) but not too shabby:
Here’s a list of family-friendly events happening in Arkansas from Sunday, June 1 to Sunday, June 8, 2025, tailored for families with children ages 4–15. All events listed are ADA/senior-friendly and include details on date, time, location, cost, registration, and event type.
Event Name | Type | Date & Time | Location | Cost | ADA/Senior Friendly | Registration & Info |
Eureka Springs Blues Party | Fun | May 29 – June 1 | Eureka Springs, AR | Free – Varies by venue | Yes
World Cheese Dip Championship & Craft Beer Festival | Fun | June 7, All Day | Little Rock, AR | Entry Fee (TBD) | Yes
Lavaca Berry Festival | Fun | June 7, All Day | Lavaca High School, Lavaca, AR | Free | Yes
Arkansas Valley Pride | Fun / Service | June 7, All Day | Downtown Salida, AR | Free | Yes
Turkey Track Bluegrass Gospel Festival | Faith / Fun | June 6–8 | Waldron, AR | Free – Donations welcome | Yes |
These events offer a mix of music, food, cultural celebration, and community service, making them ideal for families looking to engage in fun and meaningful activities. Most venues are outdoors or in accessible public spaces, and many include kid zones or activities specifically for younger attendees.
Would you like this list delivered weekly on Sundays or exported as a downloadable calendar or PDF?
Now think about other agents you can have for your newsletter content - feast days, holidays, and if you can link your SIS information in a secure way - birthdays and other celebrations.
